  • Engage and consult with students of diverse academic backgrounds and various levels of engagement on and off-campus in the design process of the School for Civil Society
  • Determine if there is interest in being connected with the School for Civil Society amongst students outside of International Development majors
  • Determine if a multidisciplinary approach is valued in various majors across campus
  • To understand how students are engaged in and value experiential learning, volunteerism, community organizing and community engaged scholarship across campus


E-mail survey, Skype interviews, and focus groups with students from groups across campus including but not limited to Student Volunteer Connections (SVC), World University Service of Canada (WUSC), CSA Board of Directors, OPIRG, GRCGED, Munford Centre, International Student Organization, Guelph Queer Equality, Peer Helpers, The O-team, SHAC Staff, CSA Summer Staff, sports teams, and Summer Discussion Group.
